Marshall, Colleen and the Buffalo Butte Ranch Team, I just wanted to thank you for a great time. I am fairly new to the sport and this was my first pheasant hunt. I have to admit that I was a little intimidated before I started because I just didn’t know what to expect. You and your team did a great job of getting me comfortable and putting me in a great position to be successful. It was truly a awesome experience and the hunting was spectacular. It was great to hear the more experienced hunters just marvel at the number of birds that we were able to see. While the hunting was superb, it was that overall atmosphere and the hospitality that made it so special. You have a great organization and I am glad that I got to experience it. 2010 Colorado Group
We arrived home safely to the white Rocky Mountains. It rained most of the way home and snowed in the high country. I guess it really is fall. We all had a wonderful time and felt right at home with both of you and all of your crew. The food was wonderful as was the hunting and hospitality. Buffalo Butte Ranch is a beautiful place and you certainly have bragging rights. We look forward to getting together again with all of you to chase the pretty birds. 2008 Minnesota Group
I hadn't Pheasant hunted for over 6 years and mainly because I'd grown up in south central Minnesota and did most of hunting locally. A good day of bird hunting was 6-8 hours and maybe 2-3 birds total for a group of 3-4 hunters and a dog. After years of getting skunked and spending hours of time watching nothing fly I had completely lost interest in pheasant hunting. I was given the opportunity to go pheasant hunting at the Buffalo Butte Ranch and wasn't quite sure what I had signed up for. I had hunted in Iowa and had good luck but I had never hunted in South Dakota. To say the least I was skeptical of how many birds they said I would get a chance to shoot at. After 3 days of hunting at Buffalo Butte Ranch I think I saw and shot at more birds then in my previous 10 years of hunting! It was truly amazing and I felt completely rejuvenated again for a sport I fell in love with as a kid. It took weeks to take the smile off my face from that trip. On top of the hunting is the outstanding accomodations and service the Buffalo Butte staff provide. Colleen's home cooked meals I'm missing already. I'm hooked again on pheasant hunting.
